The special ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives on the review of the Constitution says it is committed to ensuring broader participation by Nigerians and other leading players in the ongoing alteration process to the Constitution.

To this end, it is commencing public hearings across 12 centres in the six geopolitical zones of the country.

Deputy Speaker and Chairman of the committee, Hon Benjamin Kalu, made this known while addressing parliamentary reporters.

He says the hearings are designed to provide an open platform for citizens, civil society organisations, professional bodies, traditional institutions and other interest groups to express their views and contribute meaningfully to the constitutional reform process
